Weird fungus?


Or something on this nettle. The woodlouse seems to like it.

I posted this on the Springwatch timeline a couple of years ago and straight away someone identified it as a type of gall (with loads of agreeing comments). what kind I can't remember and I'm damned if I'm going to spend several days on their timeline looking for it (or posting again). Ha!
